Skylights: Bring In Natural Light

A skylight is an opening cut into your roof, which makes it roofing work. Skylights and sun tunnels are part of our roofing service, cut in, flashed and sealed by the same crew that installs the roof around them, so the light comes in and the water stays out.

Most leaking skylights we are called out to look at are not leaking through the glass. They are leaking around it, because the flashing kit was skipped, reused or improvised. We install the manufacturer's flashing kit for the specific unit and roof covering, and we tie it into the shingle courses the way it is meant to go.

If a room has no good wall for a window, a sun tunnel is often the better answer: a small reflective shaft from the roof to a ceiling diffuser that brings daylight into a hallway, bathroom or closet without the framing work a full skylight needs.
